Membership

Why go Caving? Why join the White Rose Pothole Club? Here are the words from of someone who was new to caving and our club in explanation – a novice caver’s experience.

We love Caving! We are a member of the Council of Northern Caving Clubs and our club members automatically become club individual members of the British Caving Association of which we are member club too. We’ve welcomed many novices to our sport over many years and we are massive fans and a club that actively supports the New to Caving initiative.

If you’re thinking of joining us, whether you’re new to caving of have been many times before we’d love to hear from you. To apply to become a member of the White Rose Pothole Club simply complete our Probationary Membership form and return this with your membership subs to us.

Probationary Membership lasts six months. As well as entitling you to attend club trips, probationary membership gives you access a whole range of specialist training events with CIC instructors underground and at a fully equipped local training venue and access to all of the support and skills you need to progress to becoming a full member of the WRPC.

We have an extensive tackle store which full members have unlimited access too and can provide everything you might need if you’re new to caving and don’t already have access to all of the personal kit you will need to take part in club trips.

You’ll receive a copy of our quarterly newsletter and access to our extensive club library which includes copies of all our publications and our extensive collection of caving journals, newsletters and publications which dates back to the 1950’s.

Caving & exploration

Exploration is really important to us too. We are working on a number of  projects and are always looking for help if you fancy joining in.
